The Long Road Home
Despite a long trip to and from Whistler, we had a great day at the Ladies’ Super G. The views on the Sea to Sky highway were spectacular and the weather at Whistler was fantastic. Had a chance to meet up with an old friend, as well. We were also glad to see anyone other than an American win a gold medal – we were starting to think it was our fault.
The trip home was a little slow, but despite the HUGE crowds it was not that bad, although I did have to step into the middle of a bit of a dispute on the skytrain. Everything worked out okay, though. Tomorrow we are off to the Russia-Czech Republic hockey game and then hopefully meeting up with another old friend.
