Men’s 1000m Speed Skating
After meeting with the executive editor of the Globe and Mail at the Waterfront food court, Stacey and I took the skytrain out to Richmond where we ate at Vancouver’s own White Spot restaurant – Stacey thinks it is a very unappealing name for a restaurant. We then walked through the Richmond O Zone before heading to the Richmond Oval where we saw American Shani Davis set a track record while winning Gold. Returned to New Westminster on a very crowded skytrain (see pictures) to have supper at The Met pub while watching Marianne St-Gelais win a silver in Ladies’ 500m short track speed skating. What a great expression she had on her face after the race.
